Vandana Joshi Dance India Dance Fame Back on Zee Tv

Vandana Joshi, a former contestant in Zee TV’s dance reality show “Dance India Dance” (DID) has been given a break on the channel’s latest offering “Dil Se Diya Vachan”.

The Delhi-based girl will play the female lead in the show that is about friendly relationship between a mother-in-law and a daughter-in-law.

“‘Dance India Dance’ changed my life and the offer to play the lead role in a serial is like a dream come true. My passions in life have always been dancing, performing on stage, travelling and learning new things. I am sure acting in a serial will fulfill all of them,” Vandana said in a press statement.

Explaining the reason behind choosing Vandana for the role, Sukesh Motwani, programming head (Fiction), Zee TV said: “Nandini is not the usual protagonist and the character had to be played by someone who is mature, grounded, practical, sincere and very dedicated in real life. Vandana fits the bill very well as we have seen the above- mentioned qualities in her during her stint at ‘DID’.”

This is not the first time that the channel has given a platform to its reality show contestants. Binny Sharma, who was one of the finalists on “Dance India Dance” too was given a chance in their show “Sanjog Se Bani Sangini”.

After Rajita Sharma’s Ram Milaye Jodi, Zee TV is ready with yet another show titled Dil Se Diya Vachan.

A source informs, “The show is produced by FilmFarm Productions, the makers of Uttaran. The story gives a different take on saas-bahu. The show wants to project the good side of this unique relationship. The production house is still casting for the lead roles. However they are finding it a bit difficult since they are keen on fresh faces.

However, Ayub Khan has been finalized for a crucial role in the show. A promo for the show has already been shot but the channel wasn’t too keen on airing the promo, however a sudden decision was taken to air to it. Some more promo shoots have been lined up, just like a teaser.”

Producer Pintoo Guha confirmed the news but refused to divulge more details.

The plot dwells on the basic premise of a beautiful bond shared between the Kalyani and her daughter-in-law (Nandini), rather than focusing on “melodrama, which has been done to death in Hindi GECs,” the channel claims in a release. “It’s a far cry from kitchen politics and in-laws afflicting torture,”.

Actor - producer, Neena Gupta will essay the role of Kalyani and Vandana Joshi from Zee TV’s Dance India Dance Season 2 will portray the role of Nandini. The cast also includes actor Ayub Khan.

Zeel COO and Zee TV business head Nitin Vaidya says, “We are hoping to set a new benchmark as Dil Se Diya…Vachan is another endearing concept from Zee. We will see the Saas accepting the Bahu as her daughter and standing by her through thick and thin. Dil Se Diya…Vachan is a drama based on a true story. It is a story about two mature women and the indisputable trust that binds them together.”

The show is produced by Film Farm India, an enterprise by Kalyan Guha and Harsh Dave.

Dil Se Diya Vachan is supposed to be a unique tale that will be based on relationships. After giving a big platform to Binny Sharma, the dancing talent of Dance India Dance through their show Sanjog Se Bani Sangini Zee TV might rope in Vandana Joshi, contestant of this season Dance India Dance as the female lead of the show.

Our source tell us " Vandana Joshi has almost been finalized to play the female lead. Veteran actress Neena Gupta and Ayub Khan will play pivotal role in the show. Abigale Jain who was last seen in Imagine's Bandini has also bagged a meaty role. Parul Gulati who was seen in Colors Ye Pyaar Na Hoga Kam will play Neena Gupta's daughter."

We also hear that Ajay Chaudhary who was last seen in Behenein is tipped to play the male lead. When contacted Ajay Chaudhary said "There are many offers in my hand I will choose the best." Abigale Jain refuse to comment.

Parul Gulati confirms her presence in the show while Neena Gupta was not available. The teaser of the show are on air, and the shoot is likely to begin from tomorrow. Dil se Diya Vachan will get a daily evening or prime time slot.
