Shah Rukh Khan in Krrish 2

Shah Rukh Khan in Krrish 2

Shahrukh Khan to Join the Cast of 'Krrish 2?'

Shah Rukh Khan offered role in the Hrithik Roshans' superhero sequel.

Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan have been bonding big time for a while now. Their personal rapport is likely to extend to a professional level as well. King Khan has been offered a role in the Roshans' home production Krrish 2.

Says a source, "Shah Rukh and Hrithik are the best of pals in the industry today. It was but natural for Roshan Sr to etch a role in his son's flick for his buddy as well. SRK's character in the film will have shades of gray to it."

Adds the source, "The Roshans have already sounded Khan off about having him in their project. And he has told them that he can be available only after the release of his production Ra.One."

The sequel to Rakesh Roshan's 2006 flick has been in the pipeline for a while. After the debacle of Kites and Guzaarish, papa Roshan has taken it upon himself to ensure that his son's career gets back on track.

And considering that Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish did well at the B-O, it is time Duggu wore his superhero cape to create magic again on screen.

Buzz is that Deepika Padukone has been finalised for Krissh 2.

Roshan Sr however maintains, "We have not yet finalised the cast for Krrish 2. We are still working on the script after which I will begin casting. Presently I am out of the country."

The last time SRK and Hrithik came together on screen was in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).

If there was any animosity between Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan (during Koi Mila Gaya and later during the Krazzy 4 song controversy), it is ancient history now. Roshan Jr has now become a permanent name on that exclusive list of invitees to Mannat. He and wife Sussanne have been at all parties at King Khan's home and vice versa. Both stars have been catching up on each other often despite their busy schedules. The friendship between wives Gauri and Sussanne also brought them more closer.

When Krrish had released, Hrithik had a special screening for Shah Rukh so he could get a frank opinion from him.

Aishwarya BirthDay - no big plans but still special day for her

Aishwarya BirthDay - no big plans but still special day for her

My birthday is a special day for me, says Ash: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (born on 1 November 1973) turns 38 today. She will celebrate her birthday with family members and close friends.

She is in a very happy phase of life and is thankful to God for showering his blessings. She stated “I feel blessed to be surrounded with so much love and affection from everyone around.”

“So, how special are birthdays for her? “It’s a special day for me, because it means so much for those around me, who try their best to make it special for me. It makes me want to thank God for all the blessings even more.”

The birthday girl has proved time and again that she is an actor par excellence, someone who ought to be taken seriously, and has managed to bloom successfully as part of the Indian diaspora.

The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai has proved that married actresses nearing the age of 40 can act and look as stunning, probably even more so than those of the younger generation. Ask her about her birthday plans, and the lady is quick to say that she has nothing extraordinary planned for her big day. Busy promoting her soon-to-be-released film 'Action Replayy', Ash has kept aside a few hours to spend with her family. "Time with family is celebration for me, and it's more than enough," she tells us.

Ash has two big films lined up for release. One is “Action Replayy” opposite Akshay Kumar and the other is “Guzaarish” opposite Hrithik Roshan. The former will hit theatres on Diwali and the latter on 19th November. With respect to her future plans she smiles and states “I have none.”

“I live in the moment. I don’t set out doing anything with an agenda. I just trust life and believe that it has the best in store for me and it’s never let me down too,” the actress added further.

Music Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Starring : Hrithik Roshan as Ethan Mascarenhas, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Sofia D’Souza

Lyricists: A.M. Turaz and Vibhu Puri

Singers: KK, Shail Hada, Kunal Ganjawala, Rakesh Pandit, Francois, Vibhavari Joshi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Harshdeep Kaur and Shankar Mahadevan

Rating: ***

Even though "Guzaarish" is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut foray into music direction, the filmmaker-turned-composer has done an astounding job, aptly capturing the mood and feel of the film that stars Hrithik Roshan as a paraplegic and Aishwarya Rai as his nurse.

The soundtrack boasts of 10 original tracks and no remixes.

The album begins with the title track, which is also one of the best tracks of the film. Sung by KK in his soulful voice and with ample support from Shail Hada, the love ballad is beautifully composed. A soft approach and predominance of the accordion gives the song an edge.

Next is an interestingly written song, "Sau gram zindagi", with Kunal Ganjawala behind the mike. Even though the track has unconventional lyrics, it still stands tall owing to Ganjawala's brilliant vocals and the melody of the composition.

A track that is based on life, "Sau gram zindagi" has a very nice thought behind it. The only damper is the English lyrics that emerge at the end. They seem quite unnecessary in the audio but might add more sense visually.

"Tera zikr", another love song in appreciation of one's lady love, is crooned by Shail Hada and Rakesh Pandit. The slow moving number is worth a listen but somehow doesn't generate the urge to hear it again.

Then the album takes a slight turn with the emergence of "Saiba" by Vibhavari Joshi. After three slow numbers "Saiba" gets some pace to the soundtrack. The song has a very international feel and seems more of a situational track.

Next in line is KK singing "Jaane kiska khwab" in his impressive voice. The lyrics are the main plus point of this track in which vocals are given more importance than instruments. The orchestration has been kept minimal that brings about a tranquilizing effect in the song.

Then another moderately paced song comes in the guise of "Udi" sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Shail Hada. The track has the feel of a carnival. This one is just passable in the context of the album.

"Keh na saku" is another brilliant track of the album. This one comes very close to the title track in terms of appeal. The romantic number crooned by Shail Hada again makes you fall in love with the track, which is slow-paced. It strikes a chord with the listener with its musical arrangement and soul-stirring composition. A clear winner.

Up next the album throws open a young, impressive, budding voice of Harshdeep Kaur, who has given the vocals for "Chaand ki katori". The soft, pleasing and soulful song appeals mainly because of the astounding voice of the singer, which fits the track completely.

Subdued musical arrangements are a plus because they lend focus to the vocals. There are moments in the song that are clearly its highlights. Listen in loop to thoroughly enjoy every element of this track.

Then there is "Daayein baayein" sung by KK. A free-flowing love song, "Daayein baayein" follows the principle of slow moving tracks adopted in this album but somehow doesn't create a strong impression. It is neither bad nor brilliant.

Finally we have "Dhundhli dhundhli" that has Shankar Mahadevan behind the mike. The song begins with the chirping of birds, it sets a pensive mood and has violin as the predominant instrument. The parts where Mahadevan takes the high pitch are very interesting and give an edge to the track.

On the whole, as a first time music director, Bhansali has done a commendable job, concentrating more on vocals and quality of compositions than just the beats. The album will surely be appreciated by music buffs.

Guzaarish Music Director | Sanjay Leela Bhansali Turns Music Director

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always taken keen interest in the music of his films. Now he is turning into a full-fledged music director with his next project Guzaarish, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.

Sources say Bhansali has four of the film’s proposed eight tracks ready. The music apparently has an old world charm.

For long, Bhansali is believed to have ghost-directed the music of his film, be it the soulful melodies of Khamoshi or the popular tunes of Saawariya. In any case, he has always had a major say.

In Saawariya, which had music by Monty Sharma, Bhansali took credit as the composer for one song. With Guzaarish, he has finally decided to throw in the towel.

Hrithik Roshan Kisses Katrina Kaif

Hrithik Roshan Kisses Katrina Kaif
Hrithik and Kat set for one hell of a long kiss

Bollywood's reigning diva Katrina Kaif is all set to make her onscreen smooch debut with none other than heartthrob Hrithik Roshan.

Director Zoya Akhtar has shot a two- minute steamy kissing scene, being touted as the longest lip lock in Bollywood so far, for her upcoming biggie Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara. Hrithik and Katrina have been cast opposite each other for the first time in Zoya's film, though the two superstars have posed for the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine in the past.

But director Zoya is reluctant to reveal details on the kiss. "I don't want to discuss details because we are still shooting the film. All I can say is that whatever we have shot is integral to the plot. Everything has been filmed beautifully and the actors look great together on screen," she says.

Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, Zoya's second film after Luck By Chance, also stars her brother Farhan Akhtar along with Dev D duo Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin.

A large portion of the film has been shot in Spain where the unit drew the flak of animal activists when the three male actors shot a bull- running sequence.

According to reports, Katrina has also done some daredevil bike stunts in the film.

Hrithik & Kat set for one hell of a long kiss While this will be Katrina's maiden on-screen kiss, Hrithik has mastered the smooching art.

He shared his first onscreen kiss with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the 2006 blockbuster Dhoom 2 and smooched Mexican beauty Barbara Mori in his dud home production Kites earlier this year.

If Hrithik and Aishwarya were quite uncomfortable while doing the kissing scene for Dhoom 2, Katrina's condition was no different when she was informed about the kissing scene by the director.

Says a source close to Katrina: "Initially, she was hesitant to doing the kissing scene with Hrithik. She wasn't very enthusiastic about the idea. However, the director managed to convince her in the end." Sources on the set of the film claim that despite her initial reluctance Katrina seemed quite comfortable kissing Hrithik when the scene was shot. The actress was very professional and co- operative all along, they add.

The kissing sequence happens at an important moment in the film where Hrithik Roshan's character looks into the eyes of the heroine and bids her goodbye without saying a word.

It is only then that the girl realises how much she loves him and runs up to him to seal her affection with a lip lock. So far, the longest kiss on- screen was shared by Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Raja Hindustani. It lasted for about a minute.

Whether Katrina manages to strike chemistry with Hrithik in Zoya's film remains to be seen. One thing is sure, though - they will set a new record for Hindi films when it comes to puckering up.
