Sonakshi Sinha Hot Dabang Girl Paired Akshay Kumar
Sonakshi Sinha's Bollywood star has been burning bright ever since (and even before) 'Dabangg'. For a while it seemed that Salman's newest co-star only had eyes for him, professionally speaking of course. Even before 'Dabangg' released Sonakshi had signed a film one more film opposite Salman, and then another. Now, the young star is broadening her filmi horizons. And her new hero is Akshay Kumar.
Sonakshi has signed on for Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' opposite Akki, and says she's glad that she's working with another A-lister after Salman.
'Joker', Shirish has revealed, will start shooting in January 2011 and release in December the same year. Wondering what the movie is about? Well, it's a sci-fi, 3D flick that follows a group of underdogs on their search for triumph. Sounds interesting for sure, and we'll be watching out for the Sonakshi-Akki chemistry in this one.

Determination is the key
Sonakshi was 90 kgs overweight when she was pursuing a course in fashion design. That’s when she realised that she needed to change her lifestyle, not just to lose weight but to be healthy.

‘I was determined to lose weight, so I went to the gym twice a day and had a high protein diet with no carbs. Spinning helped me tremendously. My regular fitness regime also consists of weight training. I have recently started hot yoga for toning – performing asanas in a steamed room with 40 degrees temperature.’

‘Stop eating carbs after six in the evening and drink several cups of green tea throughout the day.’
Sonakshi also insists that you must hit the gym along with keeping a check on your calorie intake.

I like to workout with someone. My yoga instructor has helped me a lot. I also prefer yoga over aerobics and play tennis at times.

Sorry there are no shortcuts! Sonakshi says that there is no way you can shed some kilos in a week.

‘You must wash your face with a good face wash. Don’t use a soap for cleaning your face because it dries the skin. Avoid make-up if you don’t have to attend a glamorous do.’

Sonakshi Sinha, the latest entrant in Bollywood, pretty much appears familiar with the rules of the game. The grooming that she has received from her parents - Poonam and Shatrughan Sinha - is very much on display in the way she handles a barrage of questions coming her way.
"Well, that confidence comes from my father. As for the grooming, it has been totally my mom's effort. Having said that, you need to bring in your hard work and determination. After all I had to match up with Salman's calibre here", laughs Sonakshi whern questioned around her grooming when it comes to tackling difficult situations.
It wasn't much difficult for her though when she started shooting for DABANGG. Remembering her first day on the sets, Sonakshi says, "There was no sense of butterflies in the stomach kind of thing at all. It was all very normal and I felt that I have done this all before."
Her confidence can be sensed from what she goes on to add, "Let me be honest but the fact is that camera doesn't make me conscious at all. The good thing is that the first shot was relatively easier too. It was a scene in a hospital where I was just supposed to walk. Frankly, I wasn't unnerved at all. No, I am not trying to sound over-confident but this is really how I felt."
