FOCACCIA MEDITERRANEA

Alle soglie dell'estate, mi capita spesso di rimanere con svariati avanzi di farina che urgono essere utilizzati perchè stazionano nell'armadietto da troppo tempo e con i primi caldi vorrei evitare di vedermi invasa da un simpatico battaglione di tarme da dispensa
Con questa focaccia ho veramente dato fondo a tutti i pacchetti e pacchettini, con un risultato al di sopra delle mie aspettative!
Potete realizzarla con qualsiasi farina abbiate a disposizione in proporzioni variabili.
Ma ecco cosa languiva nello stipetto:

Focaccia mediterranea

ingredienti
500 gr fra farine di vario tipo (farina per panificazione Lidl, semola di grano duro, farina di kamut, farina integrale, un po' di farina bianca per raggiungere il peso)
300 g di acqua
1/2 dadino scarso di lievito
10 g di sale
pomodori secchi sott'olio (ne ho messi 5, ma se fossero stati un po' di più il gusto ne avrebbe guadagnato!)
2 cucchiai di olio dei pomodori secchi (evo)
un cucchiaio di capperi che erano sempre nel condimento dei pomodori
due bei pizzichi di origano
olio evo per la superficie della focaccia e la teglia

come si fa:
Nel bicchiere del mixer (ma potete farla anche a mano) inserite tutte le farine e l'origano. Avviate per pochi secondi .
Aggiungete il lievito sciolto in poca acqua e l'olio, riavviate.
Aggiungete il sale, la restante acqua e per ultimi i pomodori secchi e i capperi. (io ho lasciato andare un po' troppo a lungo il mixer e i pomodori si sono completamente disintegrati dando però un bel colore rosso all'impasto)
Estraete la pasta dal mixer e continuate a lavorarla sulla spianatoia per un po' effettuando anche qualche battitura (sbattete vigorosamente più volte l'impasto sull'asse).
Fate riposare l'impasto nel forno spento per un paio d'ore.
Versatelo in una teglia unta di olio e stendetelo con le dita senza lavorarlo ulteriormente.
Lasciatelo rilievitare per un'ora e ungete di olio la superficie.
Cuocete la focaccia per 15 minuti in forno ben caldo.

E' ottima farcita con verdure alla griglia e formaggio

Celine Dion Pregnant With Twins

Canadian songstress Céline Dion is whistling a happy tune this weekend -- she and husband René Angelil are expecting twins, it was announced Sunday.

The 42-year-old, who already has a nine-year-old son, is 14 weeks into her pregnancy after undergoing IVF.

"We're ecstatic," Angelil told People magazine, "Céline is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby, and the news that we are having two is a double blessing."

Dion, 42, had been through several rounds of in-vitro fertilization and is now almost four months pregnant with the twins -- the gender of which she'll discover sometime in June. The couple has a 9-year-old son, René-Charles.

Professionally, Dion is slated to return to Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas for a three-year residency, combining her greatest hits with songs from Hollywood classics. She's also recording new albums in French and English.

Dennis Hopper Passed Away

Dennis Hopper died at his home in Venice, CA today. He was 74.

We're told his family was by his side when he passed.
Hopper had recently been suffering from prostate cancer and going through a difficult divorce from his wife Victoria.
Hopper is best known for starring in the 1969 classic "Easy Rider."

BISCOTTI AL SESAMO E UVA SULTANINA (senza burro, senza latte,senza uova)

L'altra mattina sono andata al piccolo supermercato che ho vicino a casa, risoluta ad acquistare dei biscotti per la colazione che non avessero uova e burro, ma non li volevo neanche con oli di palma o cocco oppure con grassi vegetali non identificati (era chiedere troppo vero?). Ebbene, dopo un estenuante lettura di una decina di etichette o forse anche di più...sorpresa! Nessun biscotto rispondeva ai miei requisiti. Così me ne sono ritornata a casa e i biscotti li ho fatti da me e vi assicuro che non ho rimpianto il mancato acquisto.

Biscotti al sesamo con uva sultanina

ingredienti:

150 g di farina bianca
150 g di maizena
125 g di semi di sesamo tostati
140 g di zucchero
1 cucchiaino di lievito in polvere
60 g di uva sultanina
2 cucchiai di brandy
4 cucchiai di olio di semi di mais
125 cc di acqua
1 pizzico di sale

come si fa:

Mettete in ammollo l'uvetta con il brandy e un po' di acqua tiepida.
Inserite nel bicchiere del mixer le due farine setacciate, lo zucchero il lievito e un pizzico di sale.
Avviate ed aggiungete i semi di sesamo (per la tostatura leggi le note) e l'olio.
Lasciar andare pochi secondi e unite l'acqua e l'uvetta scolata.
Quando la pasta comincia a staccarsi dalle pareti, fermate il mixer, versate l'impasto sulla spianatoia infarinata e compattatelo bene, formate due salamotti che avvolgerete nella pellicola e lascerete riposare nella parte più fredda del frigo per un'oretta.
Estraete la pasta riposata e tagliate delle fette di circa due centimetri (ma anche meno se preferite i biscotti più sottili).
Cuoceteli in forno caldo a 180° per circa 25/30 minuti (il tempo ci vuole tutto se li fate dello spessore indicato)

Note:

L'impasto dei biscotti risulta piuttosto colloso, tenete il piano di lavoro infarinato e l'impasto che non state lavorando nel frigo
Questi biscotti sono molto rustici, come sapore ricordano i torroncini di sesamo.
Non sono biscotti friabili, ma di consistenza piuttosto dura (li ho trovati comunque molto buoni).
Si conservano splendidamente per una settimana in una scatola di metallo.
Ve li consiglio pucciati nel caffè.
Tostatura del sesamo: mettete i semi in una padella antiaderente senza alcun grasso, accendete la fiamma e muovete la padella finchè sentirete scoppiettare i semini e il tipico aroma del sesamo tostato, non fate prendere colore ai semi perchè diventano amari.

Much like back tattoos, its relatively common to see tattoos on the chest as well, some of which are small tattoo designs but more commonly you will see a large piece of tattoo artwork or numerous collaborated tattoo designs on a chest.
